🎩 Classic Board — Single Track

🎩 Classic Board — Single Track
Classic — one 40-space ring, no upper tiers.

The original single-track board — pure, fast, and cutthroat. No tiers, no staircases, just 40 spaces and your instincts.

What is the Classic board?

Classic is RentRivals stripped to its essentials: a single 40-space ring, the way property-trading board games have always been played. There's no Bonus tier and no Ground Streets ring stacked below — just one loop of streets, railroads, utilities, and card spaces, with the RentRivals emblem in the middle. Every player starts with $1,500.

How Classic plays

It's the quickest way to play and the most familiar. With only one track, there's less board to cover and fewer properties to chase, so games move fast and decisions come thick. You roll, you buy, you collect rent, you trade — and because the board is compact, pieces cross each other's property constantly, so rent flows and fortunes shift quickly.

What makes Classic different

Compared with the bigger boards, Classic is a tighter, purer test:

Strategy for the Classic board

On a small board, sharp play beats sprawl. Buy aggressively early — with fewer streets to go around, the ones you skip may not come around again. Think in color sets from the first lap, because sets complete quickly here and a built set is game-ending. Trading is everything: the compact board means rivals are always one bad roll from your rent, so a set-completing trade often wins outright. And keep a cash cushion — on a tight board you'll land on rival property often.

Who is Classic for?

Pick Classic when you want a quick game, when you're teaching someone the ropes, or when you just want the purest head-to-head property duel without the extra systems. Ready for more board? Step up to the two-track Standard board or the three-tier Extreme board.

FAQ

How many spaces is the Classic board?

Forty — a single ring of streets, railroads, utilities, and card spaces, exactly like the traditional property-trading layout.

How much cash do you start with on Classic?

$1,500 per player, the same as the Standard board. (The Extreme board starts you with $3,000.)

Is Classic faster than the other boards?

Yes — with one track and fewer properties, it's the quickest RentRivals game and the best choice when you're short on time.
