RentRivals.io is a free online multiplayer board game about buying streets, charging rent, and out-negotiating your friends. It runs entirely in the browser — desktop or phone — with no download and no account: pick a name, share a 4-letter room code, and play.
RentRivals takes the classic property-trading formula and layers its own ideas on top: AI Chat — CPU rivals that negotiate deals with you in chat, powered by a large language model — quick skill minigames between rounds (winner takes $20 of game money), a Co-op Teams mode where partners share a fortune, timed 1-minute turns with an autopilot for slowpokes, live trades and property auctions, and the three-tier Extreme board — a wedding-cake stack that adds the 56-space Ground Streets ring of world-city streets below the main board and a Bonus tier above it. Prefer pure reflexes to real estate? The Minigame Arcade skips the board entirely.

Rooms hold humans and CPU rivals in any mix, from Easy to Impossible difficulty, with public matchmaking for finding opponents worldwide. Every match includes lobby chat and in-game Table Talk. All currency in the game is fictional — nothing here involves real-money wagering or prizes.
The game is an independent project, built and maintained by a small solo team. It's free to play and supported by advertising. We use anonymous sessions instead of accounts, and game rooms are temporary — see the Privacy Policy for the details of what data the game handles and the Terms of Service for the house rules.
