What is RentRivals?
RentRivals is a free online multiplayer property-trading board game you play right in your browser — no download, no install, and no account required. Buy up streets, build houses and hotels, charge your opponents rent when they land on your properties, and wheel and deal your way to the biggest fortune on the board.
Grab a 4-letter room code and play with friends anywhere in the world, jump into a public match against strangers, or fill the table with computer opponents ranging from Easy to Impossible — CPU rivals designed to be genuinely difficult and challenging to beat, not pushovers. Every player starts with a bankroll of $1,500 (or $3,000 in Extreme mode), and the last rival standing — or whoever holds the highest net worth when the round limit is reached — wins.

How a game plays out
On your turn you roll two dice and move your piece around the track. What happens next depends on where you land:
- Land on an unowned street, railroad, or utility — buy it, or send it to a live auction where every player can bid.
- Land on a property someone else owns — pay them rent. Rent climbs as owners complete color sets and build houses, hotels, and skyscrapers.
- Land on a Chance space — draw a card that can move you, pay you, fine you, or send you straight to Prison.
- Pass Start — collect your salary and keep the momentum going.
Between the property play, you can open the Trade Center to swap deeds and cash with rivals, mortgage properties to raise money in a pinch, and try to bust out of Prison. At the end of each round the whole table drops into a quick head-to-head minigame — reaction tests, puzzles, block-drop chains, even a round of casino blackjack — and the winner pockets a $20 bonus before play resumes.
Three ways to play
RentRivals runs on a signature stacked "wedding-cake" board, and you choose how many tiers are in play right from the menu. Standard is the balanced default; switch to Classic for a shorter game or Extreme for the full experience.

The 40-space board plus the Bonus tier stacked above it, linked by staircases. More properties and more routes without the full sprawl — the balanced middle ground.

Three tracks
Adds the 56-space Ground Streets ring below the board: 30 world-city streets, extra railroads and utilities, Land Grab and Forced Deal spaces, a $500 Cash Windfall, a $300 Pay Day, and the dreaded Worldwide Depression. Everyone starts with double the cash.
