🐠 Ring Diver

Ring Diver minigame in RentRivals

A hold-and-release swim — thread the drifting rings.

How Ring Diver works

You control a fish underwater. Holding the button makes it swim upward and releasing lets it sink, and rings drift across the screen at different heights. You steer through the middle of each ring as it passes, threading as many as you can.

Controls

Hold the button (or space) to rise, release to sink. Constant small adjustments keep you at the right depth.

Scoring & how to win

You're scored on rings threaded — how many you pass cleanly through the middle. Steady depth control beats wild swings, so smooth play racks up the most rings. Most rings wins.

Common mistakes to avoid

Beating the CPU rivals

When you play Ring Diver between rounds or in the Arcade, the computer players compete at the difficulty set for your match — from Rookie up to Ace. Easier bots make loose, mistimed plays you can beat with basic execution, while the hardest bots play tight and consistent, so you'll need clean hold to out-score them. In a live game it's the humans who usually decide the round, so a calm, practiced run is your edge.

Where Ring Diver fits in RentRivals

Ring Diver is one of the quick minigames that fires between rounds of a RentRivals match — the whole table plays the same game at once, and the winner banks a $20 in-game bonus that can fund the next big purchase. You can also practice Ring Diver any time, solo against three CPUs, in the Minigame Arcade from the main menu — no board, no room, no stakes.

FAQ

How do I control the fish?

Hold to rise, release to sink. The trick is short, frequent taps to hover at the depth of the next ring rather than big movements.

What's the goal?

Thread as many rings as possible by passing through their centres. Smooth depth control — not frantic tapping — gets you the most.
